The access by driver functionality allows administrators to control which drivers within a question set a designated Specialist user can view and action on their Peakon dashboards.
By providing access to the right people, you can ensure specialized teams and leaders who own certain employee experience areas can see valuable company-wide insights to drive accountability and success. This allows admins to give access to specific drivers to ensure feedback is properly actioned by area experts in the company.
An example of this is providing a Director of Learning and Development access to the Growth driver to allow them to be accountable for company-wide learning and Growth goals.

How it works
By default, all Peakon dashboard users currently have access to at least one complete question set. Users have access to all the drivers within the question set.
The advanced access rights functionality allows administrators to provide access to Specialist users who require company-wide data for a particular driver (or combination of drivers). They can now tailor which drivers, within one or multiple question sets, an access control group has access to.
When creating a new "Specialist" access control group, you can define which drivers, across different question sets, users of that group will be allowed to view on their dashboards. Please note that "Specialist" groups can only have access to company-wide data.
The access by driver feature gives additive rights and is not restrictive. Access by driver is used to provide additional company-wide data to certain Specialists within an organization rather than removing drivers from manager dashboards.
Configuration
- Navigate to Administration > Access Controls
- Click on the Specialist access tab at the top of the access control group page
- Scroll down to Question Sets
- Click on drop down next to each question set to expand associated drivers
- Check box next to each driver that the Specialist should have access to
- Select Save Group to save changes
Considerations
- The "Specialist" access control group can only be set-up for company-wide access as it isn't possible to give driver only access to a sub-segment of the company.
- The Values questions are currently part of Engagement. It is therefore not possible to separate access to Engagement and Value question sets at this time, nor is it possible to give a user access to a subset of Values.
- Open-ended questions go across question sets. This means that if a user has access to see comments from open-ended questions, they will be able to see comments from all open-ended questions. For example, if you have a certain open-ended question related to D&I, all users that can see open-ended questions will be able to see comments for that D&I question. It is not possible to give a user access to a subset of open-ended questions.
- This setting will not apply to main Administrators. This means that if an administrator has access to administer Peakon, they'll always have access to all question sets and drivers.
